Addressing global challenges requires complex problem-solving, systems thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
How can we transform engineering education so that students develop these important skills?
What learnings can be shared by higher education institutions that have embarked on educational transformation processes?
What do other stakeholders in higher education, industry, and society, have to say about these efforts?
These, and other, questions will be discussed in a highly-interactive, in-person format at the 9th International Research Symposium on Problem-Based Learning (IRSPBL23) under the theme Transforming Engineering Education.

A first author may submit no more than one extended abstract and no more than one workshop proposal. If the same first author is mentioned in multiple manuscripts of the same type, only the latest one will be reviewed.
You can submit a manuscript in one of the following formats:
1) Extended abstracts, maximum five pages
To be published in Scopus indexed conference proceedings.
The first round of submissions will be open from September 19 to November 14, 2022, 23:59 EDT.
Reviewer decision and feedback sent by January 23, 2023.
Final submissions close on March 13, 2023, 23:59pm EDT.
2) Workshop proposals, maximum two pages
Submissions will be open from September 19 to December 15, 2022, 23:59 EDT.
Reviewer decision and feedback sent by February 14, 2023.
3) Full papers
No longer taking submissions. To present in the conference, you may submit your work as an extended abstract or as a workshop proposal (see above).
To be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Education titled Transforming Engineering Education.
